Inglês

Professor Mikel Gray, PhD of University of Virginia is presenting this webinar on an introduction to PTNS. Posterior tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) is a form of neuromodulation and an effective third line option for overactive bladder (OAB) management, when first and second line options do not provide adequate resolution of lower urinary tract symptoms. This webinar will provide a pragmatic approach to delivering PTNS including needle placement and subsequent stimulation, baseline assessment, ongoing monitoring and maintenance therapy.

Objectives:

1. Discuss role of neuromodulation in the management of OAB dysfunction, focusing on PTNS.

2. Define a pragmatic program for delivering PTNS, including baseline assessment, ongoing monitoring, complementary therapies and maintenance therapy.
