The Role of the Mammography Technologist in Cancer Risk Assessment

MTMI
4/13/22, 8:30 PM
America/Chicago UTC -5

Description

The session explores the emerging trend towards breast cancer risk assessment during screening appointments and the key role mammography technologists play in identifying higher-risk patients. Increasingly technologists are being asked to do more than generate a high-quality mammogram and serve as the gateway for the delivery of personalized patient care. Participants will obtain a better understanding of breast cancer risk factors, risk models and guideline-supported surveillance and interventions—to foster technologist confidence and engagement.
