The National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) is pleased to host the June 2022 Policy Summit entitled “Cancer Care in the Workplace: Building a 21st Century Workplace for Cancer Patients, Survivors, and Caretakers” on June 17, from 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM EDT. The virtual and in-person summit will provide an opportunity for a varied group of oncology stakeholders to thoughtfully discuss the modern workplace. The summit will explore the impacts of contemporary benefit design, labor regulations, return-to-work practices and how these issues impact treatment, survivorship, and caregiving in the cancer community. Speakers will also discuss the influence of telemedicine, genomic medicine, and value-based tools on employers and employees. Stakeholder perspectives represented may include patients, caregivers, advocacy organizations, providers from community and academic settings, payers, employers, and biotechnology representatives. These stakeholders will provide a robust and multi-faceted discussion of the challenges and opportunities associated with the aforementioned national and global events.
