Life after Breast Cancer
King Edward VII’s Hospital

Description
Thank you for your interest in this free webinar about Life after Breast Cancer.
With nearly 55,000 women and 370 men diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK, this disease is the most common cancer in the UK. Recent stats have shown that roughly 75% of women diagnosed with breast cancer will survive their disease for ten years or more, which is why it’s so important to have discussions about what life after breast cancer can look like.
In this free webinar, King Edward VII’s Hospital experts will guide you through post-breast cancer treatment options that can help improve your life and help you navigate the next stage of your life.
King Edward VII’s Breast Unit Manager and micropigmentation specialist will discuss recovery as a whole, as well speaking about the tattooing process that can create the appearance of a nipple. Lymphoedema can often occur after breast cancer surgery and King Edward VII’s physiotherapists will discuss techniques to help manage this and what to be aware of, as well as general exercises and movements to help aid your recovery.
Consultant Clinical Geneticist Dr Anjana Kulkarni will be joining this webinar to speak about the options for genetic testing for breast cancer and when genetic testing could be appropriate for you and your family.
This free webinar will also include an interactive Q & A where you can pose your questions to our expert panel.
