2022 Seminar 3: Influencing cancer policy and practice through co-design
The University of Melbourne
8/10/22, 9:00 PM
Oceania/Australia AEST +10
Description
This webinar will consider the potential of co-design methodology to influence cancer care and policy. Examples from a series of co-design cancer supportive care projects will be used to describe how partnering with consumers enhances understanding to inform practice change; leads to pragmatic and innovative solutions to engrained health care delivery issues, and how the power and impact of co-design can inform policy. Drawing on work with pancreatic cancer patients, older adults impacted by cancer, and people with a broad range of cancer experiences looking to access supportive care resources, this webinar will offer insight to the application of co-design methodology and demonstrate how co-design can address critical elements of value based health care by exploring, analyzing and actioning what matters most to people.
