Description
Associate Clinical Professor, Ob/Gyn & Reproductive Sciences at UC San Diego, Jerasimos Ballas, MD, MPH will present "COVID-19 and the Fourth Trimester of Pregnancy."
From disrupting everyday practice to becoming part of everyday life, Covid-19 not only laid bare many of the vulnerabilities and challenges faced by pregnant patients amid a pandemic, but it also created an opportunity to advance perinatal care by refocusing on patient-centered care, promoting shared decision-making, and leveraging technology to reduce barriers and improve access to high-quality perinatal care.
This presentation is part of an educational initiative brought to you by the Maternal Telehealth Access Project: Collaboration and Innovation for Equity and Healthy Families (Grant # H7EMC37564). This is a collaborative initiative with several partnering agencies aimed at ensuring that women at highest risk are receiving quality maternal care services via telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic.
