In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, please join MusiCares and members of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center Cancer Genetics Team, Dr. Tuya Pal and Katie Lang, to debunk myths and learn the real facts about the power of genetic testing. Learn how to leverage the power of genetic testing and better understand the risk of inherited breast cancer. Discussion will include an overview of recreational genetic tests such as 23 & Me, including what information it gives, and why it is not a substitute for those who really want to learn about their inherited cancer risks. You will learn who is considered high risk and might consider testing, and why and how genetic testing could impact you. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
