Description

This course is designed for clinicians who are interested in the management of late-stage heart failure patients. Expert transplant surgeons and an advanced heart failure cardiologist will discuss best practices of patient identification, surgical techniques and remote monitoring in this current climate.

 

Program Objectives:

 

-Review prevalence and prognosis of advanced heart failure

-Discuss patient identification and alignment strategies of advanced heart failure patients outside of the implanting center

-Explore ways to optimize surgical approach, earlier identification and decision-making for patients in need of a HeartMate 3™ LVAD

-Discuss strategies for patient management using CardioMEMS™ HF System PA pressure monitoring
