Riding the COVID Roller Coaster: The Emotional Impact of the Pandemic
America/Los_Angeles (PT) -7
The COVID pandemic has affected all of us in different ways. We have all seen how our children have reacted to the pandemic, virtual learning and the quarantine. There has been an increase in anxiety and depression among children, both anxiety around not being in school, as well as anxiety about returning to school. We have also noticed more kids complaining about depression and social isolation. In some cases leading to self-harm and thoughts of suicide. Our goal is to discuss how to manage these challenges, and also talk about how to foster communication with your kids so that they are more likely to talk with you about these things.
