Mini Webinar: Using PBPK Modeling in Pregnancy and Lactation Studies

Nuventra PHARMA SCIENCES

Description

Join us on Wednesday, July 21st from 1:00pm – 1:30pm ET for a mini-webinar on the use of physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling in pregnancy and lactation studies. Nuventra’s Quantitative Systems Pharmacologist, Salil N. Pendse, will lead the session.

This webinar will explain how PBPK can be used to estimate fetal drug exposure during pregnancy and the impact of lactation on drug exposure to neonates. At the end of this webinar attendees should have a better understanding of:

• PBPK modeling and its utility to predict drug exposure
• Incorporating pregnancy and lactation descriptions into PBPK models
• Estimating drug exposure for fetuses and neonates using modeling

Salil has more than 7 years of experience building mathematical models of cellular modes of action, physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling, bioinformatics, and building visualization tools for effective communication of complex scientific results. He has authored or co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in toxicology ranging from novel algorithms for interpreting transcriptomics data, to using PBPK modeling for informing chemical safety in juvenile populations.
