Join the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation on Tuesday, April 20, at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT for Supporting the Sibling Journey After a Pediatric Brain Tumor Diagnosis, a presentation by Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s Deborah Bond Berk, MSW, LCSW, Director of the Sibling Program, and Darcy E. Burgers, PhD, Pediatric Psychologist.
This presentation will:
• Describe the challenges siblings face when having a brother or sister diagnosed with a brain tumor, including the periods of treatment and survivorship
• Describe effective ways to talk to siblings about the challenges they face
• Discuss practical resources and tools parents can access to help their children cope
Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session with both presenters alongside two siblings of a child diagnosed with a brain tumor. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions through a text chat. This webinar is free, but you must register below to attend. A recording will be made available after the event.
