Single-Cell Immune Profiling Can Help Resolve Tumor Microenvironment Complexities

Description
The milieu surrounding tumors is a complex mixture of immune cells, blood vessels, connective tissue cells, and extracellular matrix molecules that all exert a tremendous influence on the cancerous cells it surrounds. This microenvironment plays a crucial role in cancer development. Investigators are eager to better understand this ecosystem, with particular attention focused on the function of immune cells within this region. Modalities that can assist researchers in single-cell immune characterization are fundamental and highly valuable to these research endeavors.
Join us for this GEN webinar to hear how scientists at GlaxoSmithKline are leveraging the high-content single-cell proteomics data from mass cytometry to aid in developing novel immunotherapies for cancer. Moreover, our presenters will describe how mass cytometry advanced their understanding of an emerging and complex immune axis that regulates anti-tumor immunity. Additionally, we will learn how profiling protein expression of this axis in the tumor microenvironment across indications is a starting point that may provide valuable insight into relevant patient populations for next-generation immunotherapies and how a platform like the CyTOF XT™ is being used in this research and across the drug discovery pipeline.
