This peer-to-peer virtual educational program will discuss approaches to identify NVAF patients who are struggling with bleeding complications as a result of taking oral anticoagulation to reduce stroke risk. This program will explore:

-Understanding stroke epidemiology and the impact of OAC in patients with history of macro- and micro-bleeds

-Current state of evidence-based medicine for stroke risk reduction in NVAF patients

-Left Atrial Appendage Closure: a stroke neurologist’s perspective

-Running a Heart-Brain Clinic during a pandemic
